Original Medicare
Provided By The Federal Government
Option #1
Supplement (Plan G) + Drug Plan (Part D)
The Basics: Offered by private insurance companies.
- ORIGINAL MEDICARE PART A (hospital) & PART B (medical) is provided by the federal government and is your PRIMARY insurance. It helps pay for much, but not all, of the cost for covered services and supplies.
- PLAN G would pay SECONDARY to Original Medicare. It is our most popular supplement option & would cover all the remaining out-of-pocket costs left by Original Medicare for Medicare-approved services, including 20% of Part B outpatient expenses, except for the Part B annual deductible ($240 for 2024).
- THE DRUG PLAN (PART D) is a separate plan that helps cover the cost of your prescriptions. Premium cost runs between $4-$30 per month.
We can help you determine which Drug Plan is best based on the prescriptions medications you take.
Option #2
Medicare Advantage (Part C) As seen on TV.
- The Basics: Offered by private insurance companies. This “All in one” option combines Original Medicare Parts A & B, Prescription drug coverage (Part D) & usually includes extra benefits not covered by Original Medicare – like dental, vision, hearing & more.
- Medicare pays private insurance companies each month to administer your Medicare benefits, so many plans can offer little to no monthly premiums.
- Depending on the type of visit/service obtained, you will have to pay copays &/or coinsurance until you reach the plans yearly out-of-pocket limit.
Now included on most Medicare plans.
